We strive to offer beautiful, high quality items that have that special uniqueness of being handmade. We want you to be thrilled with every order you recieve from us and have the personal satisfaction of knowing your purchase created income for a woman in need.

 

Privacy

All purchases made on the Buy The Change webstore are secure. Credit card processing is handled through PayPal to ensure your privacy and security. The staff at Buy The Change does not have access to your credit card information. Your contact information will be used for the purpose of fulfilling your order with us and staying in touch with you. We never share your information with other companies. 

 

Shipping & Tax

Shipping is $4.99 on all US orders up to $100. Orders over $100 receive free shipping within the US. Buy The Change ships through the USPS for all U.S. orders. We do not charge sales tax on orders shipped outside of Michigan, orders shipped to Michigan addresses will be charged 6% sales tax. As a general rule, all orders leave our warehouse within 2 business days. We want you to receive your products while you are still excited about what you ordered and the difference you have made.

 

International Orders

We do ship internationally! Our system is currently not set up to accept international orders (we're working on it). All you have to do is send us an email using the contact form on the website. Be sure to include; your product selections, name and complete mailing address. We will email you with the shipping costs, and if you give the go ahead, send a Paypal invoice that day. You will be responsible for any and all taxes and import fees levied by the customs department in your country.

 

Return Policy

Returns will be accepted for any reason if received by our office within 30 days of purchase. We will gladly process an exchange or refund. Please email our customer service department at orders@buythechangeusa.org if you wish to make a return or exchange. Exchanges will be processed within 2 days of receipt of returned items. Refunds will be processed within 10 days of receipt of returned items. You will have to cover the cost of shipping the product back to us.

 

Email List

All webstore customers of Buy The Change will be added to our email list. If you do not want to receive emails there are 2 ways to let us know; unsubscribe after you get your first email or shoot us a note using the contact form and we won't add you to the list. If you sign up for our VIP Newsletter, you will receive a coupon for 20% off your next order. The sign up form is at the bottom of the home page.

 

Wholesale

We do offer wholesale pricing to a limited number of retailers. If you are a retailer and would like to apply for a wholesale account, please email kari@buythechangeusa.org. We would love to explore the possibility of working together.

 

Fundraising

Is your club or group looking for new avenues for fundraising? Our Fair Fundraising Program offers non-profit groups the opportunity to raise funds with the extra benefit of empowering women around the world at the same time. Because all Buy The Change products are ethically traded, you get the peace of mind of knowing that you are not contributing to any form of exploitation. Many fundraising companies are not forthcoming with information about the sources of their products. Your group can expect to earn between 25% and 40% of sales. Email fundraising@buythechangeusa.org to request a fundraising information packet.
 

FAQs

Q. How frequently are new shipments posted to the web store?

A. We generally launch new product lines in the Spring and Fall of each year. One of a kind products, such as recycled sari items, are updated on an ongoing basis. Products often sell out quickly and are removed from the webstore.

 

Q. How can I hear about Buy The Change sales?

A. You can sign up for our email VIP Newsletter AND follow us on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and Pinterest. Email updates contain information on artisans, new products, sales, educational programs and much more. Customers of BTC will automatically receive email updates.

 

Q. How long will it take to recieve my order?

A. All orders are packed and mailed USPS priority mail within 2 business days of your online purchase. Generally, the USPS does a wonderful job of delivering packages in a timely manner but once your package is turned over to them, we have no control over how long it takes to get to you. Please contact us if you do not receive your package within 10 days of placing the order. All packages receive a USPS tracking number which can be used to locate packages lost in the system.

 

Q. I bought a sari blanket and would like to order another one. It is no longer on your website, will you get more?

A. Many items at Buy The Change are one of a kind therefore aren't available for re-order. This includes recycled sari items, baskets and others items. If an item is one of a kind, it will be indicated in the product information section. Our inventory is constantly changing but we do have some items that we always restock such as our Elephant Bag Collection and Recycled Bombshell Brass Jewelry. Once items are sold out and removed from the webstore we most likely won't have them in stock again. Our inventory is constantly changing as we source new products from women around the world. Check back often!
